Eva Valencia, MSc in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management, is interested in guaranteeing the rights of human beings, without trespassing the ecological limits of our planet. For this she studied an undergraduate degree in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Then, she specialized in the water-food-energy urban nexus and climate challenges during her master’s degree from Lund University, Central European University and University of the Aegean. For her research projects she has analyzed the sustainable transition challenges and opportunities to make sustainability transitions in Mexico City in an interdisciplinary way.
She also has experience in the public sector in the water, energy and climate change fields. As public official she has worked as Advisor to the President Commissioner of the Energy Regulatory Commission, as well as in the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change, and in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
